Travel advisors will be able to add a service fee to accommodation bookings on Expedia’s TAAP platform, boosting earnings without needing to add a separate transaction.

The new feature comes at the request of advisors. “As more travelers are turning to travel advisors for their expertise, we're here to support them every step of the way as a trusted partner and ally,” said Robin Lawther, Vice President of Expedia TAAP. “The ability to add an agency service charge has been a highly requested feature, making it a natural next step in expanding our platform and continuing to empower travel advisors to expand their businesses and boost their earnings.”

The agency service fee can be added at the advisor’s discretion, for up to 30% of the booking, on lodging-only and packages.

The new feature aims to be a seamless integration into the booking process, and will enable agency managers to track agency service charges across their teams with their monthly Expedia TAAP statements.
